“Elie Ruby” have been collected from Ruby Bay at  Elie in Fife since Victorian times, “Elie Rubies” are in fact a rare chromium coloured garnet pyrope.

 

 

 

 

At Alistir Wood Tait, we have used the Scottish stones polished by our lapidary and made into our own designs bearing the “Unique Design” label.

 

 

 

Agates, when cut and polished , are among the most beautiful of semi-precious stones.

Scotland is one of several countries rich in agates, so much so that they are often called “Scottish Pebbles”.
